A little about me

I am a 5th grade teacher in Miles City, Montana. This is my third year teaching. Before that I was a paraprofessional for 3 years. I am married to an amazing man, and this year in June will mark our 20th wedding anniversary. We have three amazing children, two girls and a boy.

When I have "free time" (which isn't nearly as often as I would like, I'm sure you understand :) ), I like to read and paint. I also love spending time with my family, who all enjoy time out of doors, hiking, camping, etc.

My journey to teaching began in high school. I spent a summer on a mission trip to the inner city. I discovered how much I wanted to teach and help children who have not had very many advantages in life. I had to put my degree on hold for a few years, and was able to complete my degree in 2018. I have also completed my Masters in Mathematics Education. This has been an incredible journey, and I am excited to see where the next steps take me.
